Eddie Bo

Eddie Bo is one of New Orleans true musical geniuses, from 1955 to present day he has recorded and worked for over 40 different labels, some majors, some of them so small that very little is known about them and a lot of them were his own. He worked with the top singers and musicians of the region including The Lastie brothers, Alvin 'Red' Tyler, James Black, Tommy Ridgley, Johnny Adams, Art Neville amongst others. Bo worked just about every day of his life throughout the fifties, sixties and most of the seventies, when he wasn't in the studio he was holding residencies in several of New Orleans legendary bars.

So why have you never heard of him? Well, Eddie is also one of the most criminally overlooked artists by the mainstream music industry, the passing of time has wrongfully relegated this master to the shadows from where he has become one of the most respected musicians alive in the Nola music scene. The last five years have seen unprecedented interest in his music with voices across the world crying out to know more about this master and for him to be recognised as one of the principle geniuses of New Orleans music.
